but the problem is that you have to get elected first in order to do work.  without Edwards as VP i see Obama being a much harder pill for the swing states to swallow.

I'm betting on Att'y General or some sort of "Poverty/Social Services Czar." I honestly believe he'd be wasted in the VP position. There's too much work to do now.

hopefully we can finally come together and fix the country. i like the possible Obama/Edwards election theme of 'tearing down the wall' that separates ordinary americans from washington DC. "Mr. Bush, tear down that wall!" haha.  but seriously, you could almost feel him saying 'im the VP' when he was talking about 'we' will do this come january, and 'we' will take on these interests and fix these problems.  im sure the mainstream media outlets will have a field day with this one for the next few weeks until something is official!

GO OBAMA/EDWARDS 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think John Edwards just read this line on our network, and concluded this is the moment to endorse Obama. He brings the white male voters Hillary would bring - and with a lifelong sincerity in fighting for their causes. Can we all of a suddden unite the white and black high school graduates or dropouts, who have distrusted each other - or worse - for all the years I can remember?

i would have to think john edwards is most likely the VP choice. webb has no experience but military and too many easy points for republicans to hit. the others are too old to keep the 'change' attitude going. and a woman or mexican with obama...no go.  i think the biggest argument were going to see coming  from mccain is that obama doesnt 'connect' with working class americans. similar to the lastest hilary arguments before the last primaries. easiest way to combat that? have john 'the populist with a milworker father' edwards on the ticket. that solves obamas biggest negatives, and any other ones against edwards are alreay worn out. how many times can we hear about a $400 haircut and really care?  people will think twice about falling for that one again after seeing what their votes did the last two elections.   hey i could be wrong but i think thats the most likely scenario, backed up by the fact that edwards and obama have been playing the media and hyping up his endorsement as something bigger than life...it seems to be setting him up for something much larger than a meaningless primary endorsement as given by most of the people on the aforementioned list.

Hi

Here are some of my thoughts on the VP selection.

Barack Obama VP ???

Look for a high ranking women or someone with Military experience or Longer Senate or House experience or a Governor

Most likely

Virginia Senator Jim Webb, - http://webb.senate.gov/ Military, former republican, against the war

Sen. Joe Biden,- http://biden.senate.gov/ invaluable for foreign policy - long experience - did well in the debates - well liked

Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, - http://www.governor.ks.gov/ reelected to a second term in 2006. Daughter of a former Governor John Gilligan, Ohio, (1971-1975 who I worked with).

Sen. Chris Dodd, - http://dodd.senate.gov/ long experience, well-liked

Gov. Mark Warner, - http://www.markwarner2008.com/ Former Virginia Governor - current Senate candidate

Other Possibilities

Senator Claire McCaskill, Missouri

Wesley Clark, possible - Military - would help with Clinton supporters

Max Cleland, former Dem Senator from Georgia. Disabled vet, war hero

Slight Possibility for VP

Bill Richardson - Inside the beltway he's known to have "women problems" like Bill C, this would be a factor and has been be a factor in his not being selected by Kerry - Also, this would not appease Clinton voters who see him as a traitor.

John Edwards, Maybe - more likely Attorney General - Sec. of Health an Human Services, or Sec. of Labor. - Slight Possibility for VP - didn't bring any electoral help to the Kerry campaign. Other candidates stronger

Diane Feinstein - Clinton supporter would help heal party- Slight Possibility but I hope not. - We don't need help in CA

Nancy Pelosi - I don't think so. Again, We don't need help in CA

NO

Colin Powell - Two Black Men ??? (Why not just pick me - I'd be as much help on the ticket) and Remember.,, The War ???? WMD - I don't think so. CP is past his due date. "He couda' been a contender"

Hillary Clinton - NO WAY !!! - Unless they put a gun to his head.

Al Gore - Would not accept - been there - done that

All My Best,
Zach
