We will be providing information and registering Americans to vote in the Global primary (Feb 5th.) from here or vote in their home state primary from here. We will also give information on how to vote in the general election. (a preview of that information can be found at http://www.VoteFromAb...) We will discuss the latest campaign news and the results of the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary.

In previous meetup's we have concentrated on discussion and providing information on our candidate. We now come to the most intense stage of the campaign. While we will still take time to discuss and give information to new people and others who remain undecided, our focus turns to action and organizing. How can you help Sen. Barack Obama become the next president of the United States of America? As always those of you who want to be more active please contact me to take part in one or more the committees we've establised.

1) Fundraising (This involves finding venues, organizing events, and finding donors. )

2) Outreach and Organizing (Copy and Distribute flyers - taking the campaign information to other American organizations, gatherings, alumni groups, other meetup's etc. Speaking & organizing individuals for Sen. Obama. Contacting your email list, friends and hometown newspapers and writing them on why you support Sen. Obama

3) Information Gathering (Keeping abreast of interesting articles and information on our candidate and the issues, copying articles, etc. for the website file)

4) Press & Media (speaking to the press - French speakers especially needed, creating a database of contacts, creating press release's, etc. )

After this great win Iowa, let's go all the way and change America with Barack Obama !

Who attended?

    •  In the email sent out January 3 regarding this event, it was mentioned that we would be able to register for the Global primary at this event. This was not the case. It was just informational and a chance to persuade voters to vote with the global primary and not their home state primary. However, it was very interesting to see and hear other democratic-minded Americans who really want Obama to gain the nomination. I will attend future events.
    •  Our event was FANTASTIC !!!, with more than 80 people attending and major media outlets (LCI, Paris Match, Le Figaro, France 24, etc. spreading the news. We are getting our message out and inspiring Americans here to vote for Obama on Feb. 5. Go Obama!
    •  Very well organized and a pleasure. Easy to find, speakers were interesting, there was some wine. I enjoyed it, and unfortunately had to leave in the middle of it. I look forward to the next meetup.
